1. Who we are
Demat Easy ("we", "us") is a trading consultancy based in India. We help people choose the right broker, open a demat account, and offer an optional 2-month trading education program. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. Demat Easy does not provide investment advice or portfolio management and does not handle client funds.
2. What we collect
Details you give us. When you request a free consultation, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your mobile number
- Your city (optional)
- Your trading experience and the service you are interested in
The broker-match quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored.
Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working. When the page loads, your browser also fetches fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
We do not ask for or collect your PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, demat account credentials, or trading passwords through this website. We will never ask you for your trading password.
3. How we use your data
- To call you about your free consultation and answer your questions
- To schedule sessions and share details of the training program you asked about
- To keep records of our conversations so we can help you better
- To keep the website secure and fix problems
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Consent
We process the details you submit on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the booking form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by requesting a call through the form on our homepage. Once you withdraw, we stop contacting you and delete your data unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we are in contact with you, and for up to 12 months after our last interaction, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you join our program, we keep your records for as long as you are a student and as required for accounting and legal purposes. After that, we delete or anonymise your data.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Ask us to correct, complete, or update your data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapable
- Have your complaints handled by our Grievance Officer
To use any of these rights, request a call through the form on our homepage and mention that it is a privacy request. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We limit access to your data to people who need it to help you, and we use trusted providers with strong security practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
10. Children
Our services are meant for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will tell you before they apply to data we already hold.
